On Monday 30 April 2018, Wilko Jonker died after a long illness at the age of 58. He leaves behind a wife and two children. The Dutch military aviation and plastic modeling were his hobby and on this website he shared all the knowledge he has collected over the years. His hobby has been able to distract him from the persistent disease in his body until the last week of his life. The contacts with other hobbyists were a major support for him.

This website will be maintained by different people for as long as possible, so that other enthusiasts can continue to benefit from extensive content.

On this page you can find several drawings of special schemes applied on F-16s because of the jubilee of the squadrons.

This overview is far from complete.
In case you have information like (copies of) drawings used to spray the aircraft, detail photos, etcetera, please contact me, so I might be able to complete or correct this overview.

 


General-Dynamics F-16A Block 15: Display 1988: 75 Years RNlAF J-864.

During the season 1987 - 1988 air base Volkel hosted the F-16 display team, which was done by squadron 312 with flying officer captain Henry Schevers.
Initially a standard F-16 was used, but early 1988 J-864 received special 75 years RNlAF markings.
Once again smokewinders were used.

306 Squadron 40 Years 1993

In 1993 306 squadron existed 40 years and for this occasion J-642 had a special tail scheme applied.

Jubileumbeschildering van een 322 Sqn F-16A MLU t.g.v. 60 years 322 Sqn. Deze F-16 schoot in 1999 boven het voormalig Joego-Slavië een Mig-29 neer getuige het Mig-symbool onder de cockpitrand.
Special paint scheme because of 60th Anniversary of squadron 322 on F-16AM J-063. This aircraft shot down a MiG-29 in 1999 and carries a MiG-kill marking.

In 2008 the oldest Dutch fighter squadron reached the retirement age of 65. F-16AM J-876 was equipped with a nice tail painting.
