An aircraft of this type, serial C9648 of RAF No. 214 Squadron, made an emergency landing during the night of June 3-0 / July 1, 1918 on the beach near Valkenisse. The crew were lt. J.D. Vance, Sub.lt. S.B. Potter and sgt. R. Kimberly
It happened to carry eight bombs, which were moved to ammunition factory Hembrug near Amsterdam.
The aircraft was interned and received serial HP703 and was the largest aircraft which was interned in the Netherlands during the first world war.
