In service with RNlAF.

After the Second World War the RNLAF (RNlAF=Koninklijke Luchtmacht/Royal Netherlands Air Force) received 150 Harvard IIB’s from surplus stock of the RAF About six of these aircraft were scrapped because of spare parts.
By the end of 1947 another twenty Harvards were bought from the SAAF (South African Air Force), these aircraft were also scrapped and used for spare parts. In 1949 again fifty aircraft were bought from the RCAF. These were completely overhauled at the Fokker aircraft factory.

The Harvards were uses at the VVO (= Voortgezette Vliegopleiding = Advanced Training) at air base Gilze-Rijen. Some aircraft were also used at the fighter school at Twente.
During 1955 the Harvards were modified and an radio compass was added. The housing was visible on the fuselage, right behind the canopy.
The Harvard was withdrawn from use during 1962.
Some remained in service as base flight at several airbases.

In service with RNlNAS.

The RNlNAS(MLD = MarineluchtvaartDienst / Royal Netherlands Naval Air Service) used also Harvards at air base Valkenburg. Later several Harvards were obtained from the RNlAF. The type was in use until 1971.

In service with NEIAF.

Also the ML-KNIL used the Harvard. In the period 1947 - 1948 15 new and 10 Fokker revised Harvards entered services. These were handed over to Indonesia in 1950. Further information about these aircraft is not known.
