North American NA-27

The NA-27 of the LVA is sometimes referred to as NA-16-2A, others states the designation is NA-16-2H (H= Holland).

Fokker bought this type during 1937 in order to try to get the sale rights in Europe for this type, just like the DC-2.
The two seat aircraft was equipped with double steering. The rear cockpit could be equipped with a moveable machine gun. The wing could be equipped with two machine guns The LVA hired the aircraft in September 1939, later the aircraft was bought from Fokker. It was used as training aircraft for the fighter school based on air base De Vlijt, Texel. It was destroyed in may 1940 during the German attack.
