On Monday 30 April 2018, Wilko Jonker died after a long illness at the age of 58. He leaves behind a wife and two children. The Dutch military aviation and plastic modeling were his hobby and on this website he shared all the knowledge he has collected over the years. His hobby has been able to distract him from the persistent disease in his body until the last week of his life. The contacts with other hobbyists were a major support for him.

This website will be maintained by different people for as long as possible, so that other enthusiasts can continue to benefit from extensive content.

RAF Be.2C

The first BE.2C, RFC serial 1754, landed March 10, 1915 near Biervliet. For unknown reasons (possible due to a long period of repair and overhaul ??) is received its serial after the crash of the second BE.2C.
The second BE.2C, serial 1677, landed June 5, 1915 near Axel and was interned as LA24. It crashed on May 24, 1917.

Op vliegveld Soesterberg in 1915 met omach2 H. Steensma poseert voor een R.A.F. (Royal Aircraft Factory) BE-2 met registratie LA 24 (ex-RFC 1677), een tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog geïnterneerd Brits vliegtuig.

LTZ II H. Nieuwenhuis, (geb. te Amsterdam op 27 juni 1888, overleden te Amsterdam op 20 okt 1974). Kwam in 1915 bij de Afdeling Militaire Luchtvaart voor zijn vliegopleding te Soesterberg, waar hij nog in datzelfde jaar zijn FAI-brevet behaalde.
