In May 1995 the Duthc Air Force orded 30 Boeing AH-64D Apaches. The first examples were delivered May 1998, the last aircraft arrived four years later, in May 2002.
In the meantime 12 AH-64A's were leased from the US Army and mainly used for training purposes.
These air raft were returned as soon the delivery of the AH-64D started. The last AH-64A's were returned in February 2001.
The Dutch AH-64D's differ from e.g. the US examples in lacking the Fire Control Radar.

The Apaches were modified in the period 2015-2016. Check e.g. the antenna attached to the left side of the tail section.
