History
The CL.IV was designed as successor of the CL.II, an effective ground support aircraft. The design was specially focused on this task.
The CL.IV had a shorter, strengthened fuselage and an enlarged horizontal tail. These modifications gave the aircraft an improved manoeuvrability compared with the CL.II.
450 examples were built by Halberstadt and LFG (Roland) built another 250 examples.

History
In December 1914 Handley Page received an order of the Royal Navy to develop a bomber with a large range.
The result was a twin engine biplane with a wing span of 30 meter.
It made its first flight in December 1915. After some improvements the aircraft entered production as O/100 and 46 examples were built.
The success of the O/100 resulted in the development of an improved version with more powerful engines, new bomb aiming equipment. Of this type more than 400 examples were built under the designation O/400. In the US 100 examples were built by the Standard Aircraft Corporation.
Versions.
- O/100: original version with two 260 hp Rolls Royce Eagle II;
- O/400: improved version with two 360 hp Royce Eagle;
- O/7: Export version for China for transport of fourteen passengers;
- O/11: Version of the O/7 for transport of passengers and freight.
- O/10: Version for twelve passengers.

History
This aircraft succeeded the Hannover CL.II and was a two seat multifunctional aircraft. Noteworthy was the double tail. Several improvements compared with the CL.II were added, such as revised ailerons and aerodynamic refinements. It was expected that aircraft would better perform at lower heights.
Initially the CL.III would be equipped with the Mercedes D.III engine, but this was mainly built for fighter aircraft, so most Hannover CL.IIIS were equipped with the 180 hp Argus As. III.
Versions.
- Hannover CL.III: the original version with a 160 hp Mercedes D.III engine.
- Hannover Cl.IIIa: with an 180 hp Argus As.III engine.
- Hannover Cl.IIIb: an experimental version.

History
The Hansa-brandenburg W.12 was developed in 1916 by Ernst Heinkel. It was a two-seat fighter-scout, which made its first flight in January 1917. It was a very manoeuvrable aircraft.
The fuselage was made of plywood. Noteworthy was the downward rudder, thus giving the observer a free field to fire.
The aircraft was produced with either a 160 hp Mercedes D.III as well as a 150 hp Benz Bz.II.
The first series of the production suffered from problems with longitudinal stability. From aircraft with construction-number 2000 and on this was solved by extending the fuselage.

It was a good float plane with good flying characteristics and it was used as an example for the later Van Berkel, WA.
