History
The Voisin Type L or I, was developed for the French army in 1912. Tests were successful and there were some seventy examples were built in France, and a few in Russia.
It was succeeded by the Voisin LA or the Voisin type III, many of which were built because of the war
The Voisin III was followed by an improved type LB, Voisin type IV and LBS, the Voisin V.
The larger type LC or Voisin VII, followed in 1916, but was not successful and there were only a hundred were built.

On February 3, 1915 landed a LB.IV Voisin, registration V245, near Kats, Noord-Beveland. It originated from Groupe de Bombardement 2 (GB 2) based at St. Pol-sur-Mer and was flown by lt. A. d'Humières and lt. A.L.J. Coutisson
It was rebuilt on March 16, 1915 at Soesterberg and entered service with serial LA.22. It was nicknamed "keukenwagen" (kitchen car).
During 1917 it was withdrawn from use.
