On Monday, April 30, 2018, Wilko Jonker passed away after a long illness at the age of 58. He leaves behind a wife and two children. The Dutch military aviation and plastic model building were his hobby and on this website he has shared all the knowledge he has gathered about it over the many years. His hobby was able to distract him from the raging disease in his body until the last week of his life. The contacts with other hobbyists were a major support for him.

This reconnaissance aircraft from the RNAS with serial 8460 and flown by Fl.Lt. J.E.D. Boyd, made an emergency landing on October 3, 1915 near Zuid-Lande. It entered Dutch service on November 3, 1915 as LA23.

Later the aircraft was used for taxi training (wings removed or stripped) as REP3.

R.E.P. Parasol reg. 8460 op Soesterberg, oktober 1915. Dit toestel van de RNAS landde op 3 okt. 1915 bij Zuidzande, met Fl.Lt. J.E.D. Boyd. Het kreeg de registratie LA23, in december 1917 REP3. De vlieger Boyd werd later wegens een oceaanvlucht bekend als de Lindbergh van Canada.
