On Monday, April 30, 2018, Wilko Jonker passed away after a long illness at the age of 58. He leaves behind a wife and two children. The Dutch military aviation and plastic model building were his hobby and on this website he has shared all the knowledge he has gathered about it over the many years. His hobby was able to distract him from the raging disease in his body until the last week of his life. The contacts with other hobbyists were a major support for him.

An example of this type, with French serial 1832, made an emergency landing near Bergen op Zoom on November 18, 1917 and was interned wit Dutch serial SPA210. Pilot was quartermaster (Maréchal de logis) Louis Paoli of the French escadrille SPA73.

The aircraft was tested and there has been talked about building the SPAD in a new factory at Amsterdam, Van Heyst would be director, but this never actually happened.

Op 18 november landde kwartiermeester (Maréchal de logis) Louis Paoli van het franse escadrille SPA73 met zijn SPAD S.7 C.1 nr. 1832 bij Bergen op Zoom. Het toestel werd aangekocht en bij de LVA gebruikt met de registratie SPA210.
SPAD S.7 C.1 nr. 1832 landed November 18, 1917 near Bergen op Zoom. The aircraft was interned, bought and saw Dutch military service with serial SPA210.
