The first 18 Do-24Ks were delivered in whart was called the A Ikarol scheme; The top was Hollandgrau 103/2, also called RLMGrau 103/2 or Holland Grey. The bottom was entirely Silber 111/s (aluminum dope)
From 1938 and on the Fokker C.XIVw, Fokker T.viii and alsothe Dornier Do-24K received a revised color scheme, Ikarol B scheme; the upperside of the fuselage, wings and horizontal tails were fully painted in HollandGrau (Holland grey); The underside was Hollandgrau Hell (light Holland grey). Hollandgrau (dunkel), was also known as Fokker Grey; RLMgrau 02, Holland Grey or dark gray.
In the course of 1940 the remaining Do-24Ks were painted in similar colors as ordered PBY-5 Catalina flying boats: the top was dark blue-gray and the underside milk-white.
The American paint manufacturer was DuPont and used the numbers Dark Blue Gray DuPont 17-19459 respectively Milk White DuPont 17-021 [Source: Camouflageen Kentekens Badges by JHN Greuter et al.]
